ACCOUNTANCY: Relocating Offices
Our Accountancy client approached us to assist their move to new office space which was being shared with two other companies. The move required design, cabling, telephony, internet connectivity and relocation services and the three organisations wanted to share the expense but at the same time, needed to make sure each business had secure boundaries.
Three known IT suppliers pitched for the project, with Assign-IT’s solution being chosen. Assign-IT managed all IT aspects of the project, including the management of all IT companies involved. Fundamental to the move was designing a new infrastructure to enable the three businesses to share the costs of one system that was divided so it was secure for each business. This was delivered through the use of a shared Leased Line Internet connection and implementation of VLAN’s to ensure each client’s data was secure. The set up also allowed users to hot desk within their own environments with simple plug and play technology, maximising the use of shared meeting areas.
A hosted telephony platform was also implemented to enable full feature rich telecoms without the requirement for expensive on premise telephony hardware.
